The DART (Diver Attendant Recompression Transportable) is a lightweight transportable recompression chamber, which accommodates two (2x) occupants (1x patient and 1x attendant), for surface decompression and therapeutic treatment. It is fitted with a rotating STANAG male flange, making it possible to connect the DART to each hyperbaric facility provide with a female STANAG flange. It is also possible to use adoption flanges to connect the DART to hyperbaric facilities using other connection flanges. The inside dimensions of the DART make it possible for the attendant to resuscitate the patient without any obstructions. The patient’s head and chest can easily be reached, in order to carry out resuscitation. The outside dimensions allow for transportation with various means of transportation such as: small vans, pickups, light airplanes, helicopters, coast patrol boats or elevators in buildings.
Furthermore, the Hytech-Pommec standard DART has the following advantages:
Because of the special shape and size, it is spacious enough to allow extended transportation times for a diver laying down and an attendant.
It is operational in less than 5 minutes!
Because of the unique cone shape, a minimum amount of air is required for pressurisation.
The material standard of the DART is a special seawater resistant aluminium type, which minimalizes the weight, keeping it a truly transportable system
In addition to the standard configuration, we can also design and build to client specification on request. When required the DART can also be built under the survey of several notified bodies (Lloyd’s Register, TÜV, and more).
